Swimming Lessons with Harrison

Ok, I can tell that my life has completely changed when the highlight of my week is swimming lessons with my son!
For the last 6 weeks Harrison and I have been going to swimming lessons at the Starplex in Gawler. The first week, Harrison clinged to me and would not let me go, now after just a few weeks he has become a little kamikaze - it is so exciting to watch him learn so much so quickly!

Graham offered this week to do Harrison's lesson, but I love it so much I can't share - not just yet anyway!!!!!

Easter Bunny Visits.....

Well this year was Harrison's 2nd Easter and was a bit more eventful than last year. Easter Bunny had left a trail of eggs from Harrison's room out to the family room where he had a few presents waiting for him (eggs from the bunny and books from us). He happily picked up all of the eggs in his basket and then sat eating chocolate for breakfast - oh the joy of being a kid!!

We bought Harrison for Easter the book 'Possum Magic' by Mem Fox, I think that every Aussie kid should have their own copy of this book. Last Easter we bought him 'Where is the Green Sheep' also by Mem Fox and it is his absolute favourite book, in fact we usually have to read it to him about 5 times before bed just to make him happy! Story time with Harrison is one of my favourite times of the day - he just loves books and I guess that is something you never want to discourage!

Amanda - The Graduate - March Update

About a week ago I got the privilege of getting to watch my sister Amanda, graduate for her degree in Nursing. It was a great day at the Festival Theatre and she looked so happy and smart in her robes!I was her official photographer for the day, and I think we got some great shots - (hope you like them darl). I guess by following her around, I also got to experience some of the excitement between Amanda and her friends - It was great!

Amanda congrats I am so proud, and you really did beat the odds in getting where you are today. You should be so proud of yourself - YOU DID IT - YAY!!!!

Grahams Birthday - March update

Just a quick update because it was so cute, in March it was Grahams birthday, and along with the usual presents, Harrison helped to make his daddy a birthday cake - considering he is 1 and 1/2 years old he did a fantastic job!

Ok so we cheated a bit, I bought a pre-made sponge cake from Coles and I got Harrison to decorate it. We made some chocolate icing then Harrison was in charge of making sure the bowls of lollies were put on the cake - it was very funny because some of the ones that actually made it to the cake were sucked on a bit - I did tell Graham that there was no such thing as white M&M's!! Only a dad can sit and enjoy a piece of cake knowing where the lollies had been!! :-)

The First Blog....

Ok Lisa, well on your advice I have started my own blog. Who knows how often I will get time to add to this but it could be fun.

Let see to start with a brief overview, this is the first Blog of Laura, Graham & Harrison. Here is a picture of us all:

Harrison was a little over tired in the photo, hence the tears and red eyes!!!! When looking for a photo of all three of us, I just realised that I have heaps of recent pictures of my boys but because I am always behind the camera there is nothing recent of the three of us together - Ill rectify this and post another blog soon!

Lisa, since you inspired the blog, I thought Id better put a picture of you an me too from when you were down in Adelaide. For anyone else reading, Lisa & Mark are my dear school friends who are seeking a more adventerous life in London!

Ok then, from this point anything remotely interesting, ill try to remember to add it to the world wide web, more so that my good friends overseas can keep track of the exciting life of a suburban working housewife here in Australia!!!!!! xox
