Sounds By the River - 8 January 2011

I had no idea this concert was on until I heard a radio advert for it the day before, and having a shortage of babysitters I kind of figured that there was no way I would be able to go out. Well thankfully a call to my lovely mum, and the boys were sorted.

So with my lovely friend Lana and Graham, it was off to Mannum for the 'Sounds By the River' concert, for a good old Aussie Music Rock fest.

We had such a great time, Graham even bumped into some footy friends and I ended up loosing him for half the night.

We missed a couple of the warm up acts, which were pretty much some hardcore country music bands, which didn't faze me too much, but I had to make sure we were there for when Thirsty Merc came on - I love them, I even managed to get up close and personal with them after their gig and get my CD signed. (no individual photos though - pooh)

Next came Noiseworks, and let me tell you Jon Stevens can still rock out some Hot chilli Woman
Then for the finale we was treated to some Jimmy Barnes, who even though getting on in age he had everyone dancing and screaming for more.

Mitchell's end of year childcare photo's

Some end of year photos of Mitchell taken at childcare - cute photos, but I am not sure what angle the photographer had their camera on though

Might have to get Auntie Lisa to take some more recent photos (Hint Hint, nudge nudge, wink wink)

Christmas evening

We spent christmas lunch with Graham's family and for some reason I didnt take any photos, but we had a lovely lunch at Tremayne and Tommy's house, with a BBQ and some lovely salads.

Then went to my mums in the evening and it was so hot, but we managed some cold meats and a yummy chocolate fondue.

I didn't take too many photos, but since it was hot day the boys enjoyed playing on the bikes and playing with water outside.

Christmas Morning 2010

All was quite in through the house not a creature was stirring, not even a mouse.........

Milk and cookies was left for Santa, and the reindeer's had a bucket of water and some carrots waiting outside.

Then the silence ends and two excited little boys enter the lounge room, Harry very very excited, Mitch - well he was not to sure......

Then the first presents opened was some of what Santa had left for the boys.......so many presents you would think it would have taken ages to open it all, but no, within about half hour every thing was opened and we just needed to get them all out of those boxes.

Mitch got the hang of the whole present opening pretty quickly

Harrison looked pretty impressed with all of his presents, this photo just shows it the most

Mitchell's Christmas loot

Harrison's Christmas loot, way too many transformers......

2010 Photo with Santa

Well my attempt to have a nice smiling photo of my boys with Santa failed this year, with two grizzly boys not wanting to sit on Santa's lap. Neither of them would look at the camera or smile for that matter, so this year's photo I have two miserable little ratbags sitting on Santa's lap - oh well there is always next year.

Harrison's End of Year Christmas Concert

Harrison's first end of year Christmas concert did not go on without dramas, the night of the concert there was a huge storm and the concert had to be cancelled, so we all gathered the next day for a repeat of the concert held indoors in the gymnasium instead of the out door stage area that had originally been set up.

Because Harrison is so tall, that is him standing and singing in the back row:

I don't have lots of photos because I was mostly filming the occasion, but he had a great time and was very pleased to see his mum, dad, brother and Nana in attendance watching him.

This is a picture of Harrison and Miss I, his first teacher. This was her first teaching post and she was so enthusiastic with all the kids that Harrison just loved her.

Mitchell's First Haircut ....... December 2010

Well as I mentioned when I blogged about Harrison's first Haircut, to me this kind of marks the end of baby stuff and means that my gorgeous little Mitchell is now officially a toddler and growing up into such a wonderful little boy.

My spunky little boy with golden blonde curls, which mind you I asked the hairdresser to make sure she did not cut too many of those curls off - I love them so much. (maybe that is me holding on to my baby, but I am not really ready for him to have a total 'big boy' cut just yet)

A day of swimming with the 'Young' kids

I had the pleasure to look after my surrogate family and spend the day amusing Courtney, Kayla and Jacob.

We didn't have a car big enough to fit us all in, so we walked down to the bus stop and caught the bus to the Aquadome - all of the kids swam like water babies and had an absolute ball. After a few hours, when Rachel was due home from work, we all trotted off to the bus stop again for the trip home (which seemed to take so much longer than the trip there).
